For the first time since back in August, Watauga was forced to settle for a draw on Wednesday. They and the Patton Panthers finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. Watauga had to tread lightly for part of the game as Ben Myers and Koa Lancaster were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Evan Mawhinney was the only thing that stood between Watauga and a shutout considering he scored both of Watauga's goals, bringing his season total up to three goals.

Watauga's draw makes their record 3-1-2 this season. Meanwhile, Patton's record is now 3-1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Watauga will face off against Newton-Conover at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Patton, they will head out to challenge St. Stephens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
