Coeur d'Alene's Ty Holgate recorded the longest rushing play in 5A Inland Empire this season in his game against Capital last week. Holgate's team beat the Eagles as he sprinted for 57 yards on the play and finished with 176 in all.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Coeur d'Alene beat Capital 42-14. The victory was the seventh in a row for Shawn Amos' team.
The Vikings' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Austin Lee threw for 105 and 1 touchdown and Holgate had 30 yards receiving. On the ground Holgate contributed 176 yards. Chase Blakley helped Coeur d'Alene's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 22 yards.
