On Friday, Fullerton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-42 to Coconino. While losing is never fun, Fullerton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 645th in California, while Coconino is ranked 203rd in Arizona).
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Edwards, who scored 16 points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Saint Martinez was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Fullerton now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Coconino, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
Fullerton and Bradshaw Mountain will face off at 12:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Bradshaw Mountain has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Coconino, they will be playing at home against Prescott at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Prescott has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 214 points over their last three contests.
