Sebastian Williams-adams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 37 points and 14 rebounds. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Humphries, who scored 14 points.
When it comes to explaining why St. Thomas Episcopal lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aiden Law. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The game was Law's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Law, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
St. John's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for St. Thomas Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.
St. John's and Second Baptist will face off at 8:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Second Baptist knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 15 matches -- so hopefully St. John's likes a good challenge. As for St. Thomas Episcopal, they will be playing at home against Houston HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Houston HomeSchool will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 494th, while St. Thomas Episcopal is ranked 133rd).
