The Jefferson County Tigers had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by Wakulla 83-53 on Thursday. Jefferson County lost against Wakulla in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 83-82 score last time.
Among those leading the charge was Nehemiah Chandler, who scored 16 points along with 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Bradley Vaughn, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds.
Jefferson County's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Wakulla, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson County will face off against North Florida Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Wakulla, they will head out on the road to face off against Port St. Joe at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
