The Annawan Braves came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past St. Bede with points to spare, taking the game 66-52. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Annawan also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2021.
Several Bruins players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ali Bosnich, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. The match was Bosnich's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Hermes, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Annawan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for St. Bede, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
Annawan is on the road again on Thursday and play against Serena at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Serena is ranked 66th, while Annawan is ranked 68th). As for St. Bede, they will play host again and welcome Fieldcrest, where tip off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
