Basketball Recap: Dwyer Wins Going Away Against Suncoast

After losing to Suncoast the last time they met, Dwyer decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Dwyer Panthers strolled past the Suncoast Chargers with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 50-36. The game marked the Panthers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Dwyer's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maya Kutsmeda, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Kutsmeda a new career-high in boards. Liz Lynskey was another key player, putting up 13 points and six rebounds.

Suncoast lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Keyanna Goss, who posted eight points along with 16 rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Philleah Bright, who had 16 points in addition to six assists and six steals.

Dwyer's record now sits at 3-7. As for Suncoast, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Dwyer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 35-28 win against Jupiter on the 9th. As for Suncoast, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-48 victory against Palm Beach Gardens on the 9th.
