Hereford had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against the Graham Steers by a score of 55-43. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Whitefaces' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1231st, while the Steers are ranked 545th).

Hereford pushed their record up to 5-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Graham, they moved to 5-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Hereford has already played their next game, a 50-36 victory against Bowie on the 13th. Graham will take on Iowa Park in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
