After having lost a blowout to Kirby in their previous matchup, Brighton were happy to find some success on Friday. Brighton walked away with a 34-25 win over Overton. That result was just more of the same for Brighton, who also won the last time these teams played.
After a totally unproductive first quarter, the Brighton offense stepped up its game and put 14 points on the board in the second quarter. Overton came up with 6 to make it 14-6 heading into the break. The offense for Brighton continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 20 points to put the game away. The victory bumped their record up to 2-4. Overton are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-6.
Brighton will look to defend their home turf next week against Kingsbury at 7:00 PM. Kingsbury took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Brighton's good fortune. Overton will look to defend their home turf against Ridgeway at 7:00 PM.
