Zephyrhills (Fla.) jumped out to an early lead against
Nature Coast Tech (Brooksville, Fla.) and never looked back on the way to a 37-16 victory on Saturday.
The Bulldogs scored seven points in the first quarter. Zephyrhills scored on a
Garrett Pritchard touchdown run.
After taking the lead on a Pritchard touchdown run in the first quarter, ZHS was up 21-0 at the half.
The Bulldogs grew their lead to 32 points entering the fourth quarter. Zephyrhills scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Jaylen Pickett.
The Sharks came in giving up 17.2 points per game this season. Nature Coast Tech had a hard time against Zephyrhills' offense, which entered the game scoring 16.8 points per game. The Bulldogs went into the matchup giving up only 16.0 points per game. The 16 points that NCT ended with were right around its average of 18.2 coming into the game.
Nature Coast Tech (2-4) will play a 5A District 6 game against South Sumter next week, while Zephyrhills (5-1) will take on Central also in a 5A District 6 game.
