The Kenowa Hills Knights will be playing at home against the Thornapple Kellogg Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Kenowa Hills' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 35-21 bruising from Cedar Springs. That's two games in a row now that Kenowa Hills has lost by exactly 14 points.
Meanwhile, Thornapple Kellogg was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 36-30 to Forest Hills Eastern. While losing is never fun, Thornapple Kellogg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Forest Hills Eastern is ranked 95th).
Even though the team lost, they still came through with several impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Drake Snyder, who rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns. Ethan J bonnema was another key contributor, rushing for 75 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Kenowa Hills has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Thornapple Kellogg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.
Kenowa Hills barely slipped by Thornapple Kellogg in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, winning 29-28. Does Kenowa Hills have another victory up their sleeve, or will Thornapple Kellogg turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
