After a string of eight wins, the Franklin Central Flashes's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. The contest between Franklin Central and Noblesville wasn't particularly close, with Franklin Central falling 64-48. Franklin Central has struggled against Noblesville recently, as their match on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Franklin Central's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Carys Wilson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds, and Ashlee Baker who scored 13 points.
Noblesville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Meredith Tippner out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Tippner is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was C.C. Quigley, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Franklin Central's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-8. As for Noblesville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin Central will face off against Southport at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southport will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 327th, while Franklin Central is ranked 34th). As for Noblesville, they will head out on the road to face off against Pendleton Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pendleton Heights will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
