Comstock Park's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Kelloggsville with a sharp 15-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now won eight in a row.

Comstock Park got a massive performance out of Cale Wiers, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. The Panthers are undefeated when Wiers posts two or more runs, but 2-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Schipper, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Comstock Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .731. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.
Meanwhile, Covenant Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Calvin Christian on Monday, taking the game 5-2.
Andrew Pastoor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Colten Mingerink, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Jeremy Rutgers was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases.
Comstock Park's record now sits at 9-3. As for Covenant Christian, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Covenant Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Comstock Park has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .493. It's a different story for Covenant Christian, though, as they've only averaged .361. Will they be able to contain Comstock Park's hitters?
