Basketball Recap: Carroll Beats Faith Christian for Their Third Straight Win

Carroll extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Jillian Salts. The Cougars walked away with a 49-40 win over the Faith Christian Eagles on Monday with plenty of help from Salts, who went 8-for-16 on her way to 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The contest was her third in a row with at least 18 points.

Eliza Rinehart was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Rinehart is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Faith Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Johanna Haste, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracyn Musick, who posted 12 points.

Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Faith Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Carroll has already played their next game, a 55-50 win against North White on the 18th. Faith Christian has also already played their next matchup (against Frontier), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
