The Archer City Wildcats's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They secured a 37-31 W over Wichita Falls. This was payback for Archer City, who suffered a 36-35 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Archer City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adelyn Harvey led the charge by scoring 11 points along with five steals. Harvey continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addy Peters, who scored ten points.
Archer City now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Wichita Falls, they bumped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archer City will take on Prairie Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wichita Falls, they will head out on the road to face off against Seymour at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
