The Linden Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 73-64 to Frankenmuth. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Monday (57), Linden still had to take the loss.
Leading Frankenmuth to victory were Aiden Labissoniere and Riley Hubbard. Labissoniere scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Hubbard scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that Hubbard scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Thomas Conzelmann, who scored ten points.
Linden bumped their record down to 2-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Frankenmuth, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Linden will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Flint Southwestern Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Frankenmuth will finish 2023 at home by hosting Millington at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Millington has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 305 points over their last five matchups.
