After flying high against the South Hills Scorpions last Friday, the Polytechnic Parrots came back down to earth. Polytechnic was outmatched by Everman on the road and fell 61-9. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Polytechnic in their matchups with Everman: they've now lost six in a row.
Sofia Castro was Polytechnic's leading scorer, having posted four points.
Tryniti Lewis held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.
Polytechnic's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-13. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.5 points per game. As for Everman, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.
Polytechnic will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwest is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Everman, they will head out on the road to take on Trimble Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Trimble Tech will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1415th, while Everman is ranked 621st).
