Despite their loss, Memphis saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Braden Bond, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and six blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Dresden Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Wellington's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Memphis, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.
