After flying high against the Hemingway Tigers last Friday, the Green Sea Floyds Trojans came back down to earth. Green Sea Floyds was outmatched by the Wild Gators at home and fell 46-16. Green Sea Floyds was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-4.
Green Sea Floyds lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Paris McClellan, who scored six points.
Gwendasia Page was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 steals for Lake View. Page is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaleya Ford, who scored eight points along with five steals and five blocks.
Green Sea Floyds has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Lake View, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Green Sea Floyds will take on the Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hannah-Pamplico is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Lake View, they will be playing at home against the Silver Foxes at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
