The Interlachen Rams struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Trenton Tigers had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Interlachen took a hard 60-43 fall against the Tigers. If Interlachen was looking for revenge after losing 52-40 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Interlachen lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kemontae Nixon, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Nixon hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games. Raszir Phelps was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trenton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mason VunCannon, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tyler Bullis, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Interlachen now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Trenton, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
Interlachen will head out on the road to square off against the Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Saint Francis Catholic's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. As for Trenton, they will be playing at home against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
