Freedom is 9-1 against Hylton since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Freedom Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Hylton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Freedom will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
If Freedom beats Hylton with 49 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Freedom took their contest last Tuesday with ease, bagging a 49-4 victory over Gar-Field. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 25 points or more this season.

Freedom got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Keilana Johnson out in front who went 5-for-11 on her way to 13 points in addition to seven steals and five boards. Johnson has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. Savannah Price was another key player, putting up 13 points and six steals.
Freedom smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 29 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Hylton hadn't done well against Charles J. Colgan recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Hylton walked away with a 39-29 victory over Charles J. Colgan.
Hylton's win came from a few key players Freedom will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Aysia Gholston, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Raegan Cathcart, who put up 11 points and three steals.
Freedom pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.4 points over those games. As for Hylton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-13 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Freedom against Hylton in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 59-14 victory. In that game, Freedom amassed a halftime lead of 37-10, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
