West Point has gone a perfect 3-0 against Browne recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Dragons will be playing at home against the Bruins at 3:45 p.m. West Point knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Browne likes a good challenge.
On Thursday, West Point got the win against Valley Vista by a conclusive 13-1. Considering the Dragons have won 11 games by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
JewelyAnna Grijalva made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Grijalva was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Ellah De La Riva was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Morgan Edwards, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
West Point kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in 11 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Browne came up short against Cesar Chavez on Monday, falling 20-5.
Browne saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tunisia Rios, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Mia Palacios Ortiz was another, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
West Point pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Browne, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. West Point has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .558. However, it's not like Browne struggles in that department as they've averaged .506. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
West Point got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Browne by a conclusive 16-5 score. Do the Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bruins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
