The matchups are set for Chipotle Nationals, which is scheduled for April 2-5 at Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, Ind. The event will crown the national champion in the MaxPreps National Top 10 with each of the top five teams participating in the field.
The 16th annual event sees three first-time participants as
Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro, N.H.),
CIA-Bella Vista (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and
Dynamic Prep (Irving, Texas) join returning national powerhouse programs
Columbus (Miami, Fla.),
IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.),
Link Academy (Branson, Mo.),
Long Island Lutheran (Brookville, N.Y.),
Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.),
Prolific Prep (Napa, Calif.) and
Wasatch Academy (Mt. Pleasant, Utah).
The four-day tournament is streaming on the ESPN family of networks (schedule below) and features three of the top five prospect in the Class of 2025 as
Cameron Boozer of Columbus,
Chris Cenac of Link Academy and
Darryn Peterson of Prolific Prep headline the individual talent.
Montverde Academy (19-7) makes its 14th appearance as the event will be head coach Kevin Boyle's swan song with a program he led to the title seven times. The Eagles take on event newcomer Dynamic Prep (31-4), which is coached by former NBA All-Star Jermaine O'Neal, in the play-in game.
The other play-in game features 2019 champion IMG Academy (21-7) vs. Wasatch Academy (25-4) making its first appearance since 2021. IMG is making its sixth consecutive trip to the event.
The winner of the first play-in game between Montverde Academy and Dynamic Prep will take on No. 2 seed Link Academy (22-8), which captured the championship at the Nike EYBL Scholastic tournament to earn an automatic berth.
The other play-in winner takes on top-seed Columbus (27-3), which is making its second consecutive appearance after capturing a fourth straight state championship in Florida's highest classification.
Prolific Prep (29-5) takes on No. 3 seed Long Island Lutheran (21-6) in a first-round matchup that features plenty of high-level talent. Long Island Lutheran have won 18 of its last 19 games while Prolific Prep has won a dozen games in a row.
Another intriguing first-round showdown features co-EYBL Scholastic regular season champions CIA-Bella Vista (21-6) and Brewster Academy (27-4). Both teams have plenty to prove as they make their Chipotle Nationals debuts.
