After losing to the Beaufort Eagles the last time they met, the May River Sharks decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. May River put the hurt on Beaufort with a sharp 53-33 win on Tuesday.
May River got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elizabeth Duncan out in front who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ashleigh Williams, who scored 6 points along with 12 rebounds.
The win got May River back to even at 1-1. As for Beaufort, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
May River will be playing at home against Beaufort at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Beaufort, they will head out on the road to face off against Whale Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Whale Branch is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
