While losing is never fun, Taft can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 797th, while Meadowdale is ranked 289th).
DePaul Cristo Rey's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Taft, they bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
DePaul Cristo Rey took a serious blow against Taft in their previous meeting back in January of 2019, falling 69-10. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point DePaul Cristo Rey was down 31-8.
