The Glenwood Gators will take on the Alabama Christian Academy Eagles in a tournament  on Saturday.
Last Thursday, Glenwood came up short against Smiths Station  and fell  9-5.
Glenwood saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Karrington Slocumb, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI.  Caroline Breazeale also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
 Even though they lost, Glenwood  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That's the most  hits they've posted  since  the start of last season.
Meanwhile, Alabama Christian Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  a   3-2 W against the Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Eagles have posted  since February 14th.
 The team  relied heavily on  Campbell Hammett, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 Glenwood's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Alabama Christian Academy, they now  have a winning record of 6-5.
