Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Plymouth Whitemarsh). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Penn Wood Patriots 44-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Colonials' considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Patriots are ranked 372nd).
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to  Michael Giangiulio and  James Cain. Giangiulio gained 165 total yards and three touchdowns while  Cain rushed for 83 yards and two  touchdowns. Giangiulio got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 75 yards.  Cole Reilly was another key player, throwing for 164 yards and a pair of  TDs on only 14 passes.
 Plymouth Whitemarsh didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Michael Bongard.
Plymouth Whitemarsh's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Penn Wood,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plymouth Whitemarsh will challenge Hatboro-Horsham at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The  game will  give the Colonials their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Penn Wood, they will welcome Archbishop Ryan  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Raiders and Ragdolls' defense has only allowed 14  points per game  this season, so the Patriots' offense will have their work cut out for them.
