They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Concord Yellowjackets. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly two runs.
As for Concord, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For Concord's part, Landon Lynn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on eight hits. Lynn has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
