Make it nine blowout wins for the Carlisle County Comets this season. They blew past Community Christian 64-39. Given Carlisle County's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Warriors are ranked 272nd), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Carter Burnett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Kenton Arnold was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Carlisle County pushed their record up to 17-7 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.7 points per game. As for Community Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.
Carlisle County and the Warriors will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Community Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Comets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
