The Iroquois Braves suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 56-33 defeat at the hands of North East. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Iroquois has suffered against North East since January 3, 2020.
Iroquois' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Devin Brink, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, and Orlando Brown who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Brink also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellen Burroughs, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds.
Iroquois' defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for North East, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Iroquois will head out on the road to take on Mercyhurst Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North East, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Fairview at 7:30 p.m. Fairview will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 454th, while North East is ranked 210th).
