The Thurgood Marshall Cougars lost against the Trotwood-Madison Rams back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Thurgood Marshall was beaten by Trotwood-Madison 85-53. Thurgood Marshall has not had much luck with Trotwood-Madison recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
It was another big night for Jermiel Atkins, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds for Trotwood-Madison. Atkins set a new season high mark in blocks with seven. Delamar Blanton was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Thurgood Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Trotwood-Madison, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thurgood Marshall will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Stivers School for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. As for Trotwood-Madison, they will square off against Meadowdale at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
