Last Thursday, Seton Catholic Central's game was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They secured a 39-33 W over Lake Placid. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Seton Catholic Central has managed all season.
Aiden Pearl was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Seton Catholic Central's points. Another player making a difference was Sam DeJordy, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Saranac's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Plattsburgh an easy 74-49 victory. While losing is never fun, Saranac can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 563rd, while Plattsburgh is ranked 131st).
Seton Catholic Central's victory bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Saranac, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
