This season hasn't been kind to the Hancock Eagles, who are still winless after their tenth match. Their tough 47-25 loss to Rauner on Friday might stick with them for a while.
Rauner's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Vashawn Dorsey, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Dorsey is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Yahweh Anderson, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals.
Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Rauner, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hancock will take on Dunbar at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dunbar knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Hancock likes a good challenge. As for Rauner, they will head out on the road to face off against Muchin College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
