Santa Rita suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 57-19 loss at the hands of Willcox. Santa Rita has struggled against Willcox recently, as their match on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Benson suffered their closest loss yet this season on Saturday. They fell just short of Desert Christian by a score of 36-33.
Santa Rita's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Benson, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season.
Santa Rita took a serious blow against Benson in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 56-8. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Santa Rita was down 33-6.
