The Charleroi Cougars were the 62-53 winner over the Serra Catholic Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Charleroi took a 56-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Serra Catholic. Charleroi has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Pete Burke was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 21 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isiah Petty, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
Charleroi's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Serra Catholic, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charleroi will take on Monessen at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Serra Catholic, they will be playing at home against Seton LaSalle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
