The Lehigh Valley Academy Jaguars will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Marian Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on December 23rd. Lehigh Valley Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 434th, while Marian Catholic is ranked 143rd).
Last Thursday, Lehigh Valley Academy suffered a tough 58-36 defeat at the hands of Notre Dame.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ziyon Wilkins, who scored 14 points. He scored a full 38.9% of Lehigh Valley Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Hunt, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Marian Catholic entered their tilt with Jim Thorpe with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Marian Catholic was the clear victor by a 73-50 margin over Jim Thorpe. Marian Catholic's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Jacob Miller continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with six assists and three steals. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jesse Rodino was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Lehigh Valley Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Marian Catholic, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.
