The Tri-Village Patriots will square off against the Tri-County North Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Tri-County North will be up against a hot Tri-Village team: the squad just extended their winning streak to seven. Everything went the Patriots' way against Newton Local on Thursday as they made off with a 15-3 win.

Elizabeth Poling tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.4 strikeouts per game.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Caley McCarroll, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kash Mead, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Tri-Village kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, while Tri-County North put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Twin Valley South. Tri-County North blew past Twin Valley South 7-0. Tri-County North hasn't had any issues with Twin Valley South recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
The result came thanks to Kasidi Daugherty's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Bella Cherry was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Madison Bondurant, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Tri-Village's win was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Tri-County North, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Tri-Village's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's matchup. The Patriots have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Tri-County North, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Tri-Village continue to outrun the ball?
Tri-Village skirted past Tri-County North 4-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
