 Melrose-Mindoro let  Hailey Hiles and  Cooper Zeman loose on the outfield. Hiles  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 4-for-6, while  Zeman  scored four  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in four of her six plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Miranda Banse, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Alma Center Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They lost  17-7 to Augusta.
 Melrose-Mindoro's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Alma Center Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
