In what's become a running theme this season, the Notre Dame Prep Saints gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Cactus Shadows 71-45. Winning may never get old, but Notre Dame Prep sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Notre Dame Prep was led to victory by Ava Pautz and Ayla Keefe. Pautz almost dropped a triple-double on 16 points, ten rebounds, and nine assists, while Keefe dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Pautz posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Frankel, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Notre Dame Prep's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Cactus Shadows, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Horizon the next time they take the court. Cactus Shadows will host Horizon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Notre Dame Prep will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
