After flying high against the Winside Wildcats last Friday, the Wynot Blue Devils came back down to earth. Wynot fell to Guardian Angels Central Catholic 52-47. Wynot was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Guardian Angels Central Catholic apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Defeat or not, Wynot got some senior leadership from Chase Schroeder who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds and Carson Wieseler who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Wieseler is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Sudbeck, who scored 5 points along with 5 rebounds.
Wynot's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Wynot will head out on the road to face off against Osmond/Randolph on Friday. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crofton on Saturday.
