The Snow Hill Eagles came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 84-65 win over Northampton. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Quayshawn Washington, who scored 22 points along with seven steals and five assists. Washington is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Anderson, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Snow Hill's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. As for Northampton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season.
Snow Hill will take on Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Snow Hill has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,115 points over their last 14 matchups. Northampton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
