Rock River had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They snuck past Kaycee with a 14-8 victory. Kaycee can consider this payback for the 0-2 defeat they dealt Rock River the last time the teams encountered one another.
The win got Rock River out to a 1-0 start for the season. Kaycee are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.
Rock River will look to defend their home turf next week against Lingle-Fort Laramie. Kaycee are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Guernsey-Sunrise at 7:00 PM.
