That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Guerra has scored at least a third of Dolores Huerta Prep's points. Faith Mendez was another key contributor, scoring two points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Peyton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Rocky Ford 90-8 at home. Peyton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.
Dolores Huerta Prep's victory bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Peyton, they pushed their record up to 15-0 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Dolores Huerta Prep took a serious blow against the Panthers in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 64-9. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Dolores Huerta Prep was down 36-5.
