The Waller Bulldogs will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Klein Cain Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After soaring to 38 points the game before, Waller were a bit more limited in their matchup last Friday. They were dealt a 34-7 loss at the hands of Klein Oak. While losing is never fun, Waller can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 379th, while Klein Oak is ranked 135th).
Meanwhile, Klein Cain unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 42-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Klein Collins. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Despite the defeat, Klein Cain had strong showings from Issac Mooring, who threw for 307 yards and two touchdowns, and Blaine Bullard, who picked up 137 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Waller has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Klein Cain, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Waller took a serious blow against Klein Cain in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 52-7. Will Waller have more luck at home instead of on the road?
