Downers Grove North pushed their record up to 10-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lyons, their win ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11.
Lyons came up short against Downers Grove North in their previous matchup back in April, falling 5-1. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
