The Northwest Guilford Vikings were the 60-33 winner over the Southeast Guilford Falcons when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Northwest Guilford fell 43-34 to Southeast Guilford on Friday. Northwest Guilford has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Southeast Guilford found their leader in underclassman Morgan Odom, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Odom is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Stevens, who scored 11 points.
Northwest Guilford's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for Southeast Guilford, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Northwest Guilford will head out on the road to face off against Page at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Page is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Southeast Guilford, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Lexington at 2:30 p.m. Lexington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 435th, while Southeast Guilford is ranked 209th).
