The Hancock Central Bulldogs had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past Georgia Military College 73-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Hancock Central has posted yet this season.
Leading Hancock Central to victory were Dontriel Grable and Josiah Ingram. Grable scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Ingram scored 12 points along with two steals. Ingram has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Karter Harper was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cam Duke, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Walker, who scored ten points.
Hancock Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Georgia Military College, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hancock Central will take on Twiggs County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Georgia Military College won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tattnall Square Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 20th. Tattnall Square Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Georgia Military College in Georgia (Tattnall Square Academy is ranked 167th, while Georgia Military College is ranked 525th).
