The Expression Prep Academy Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 25 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Bloomingdale on Thursday as Expression Prep Academy made off with a 88-63 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-19.
It was another big night for Jace Coats, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. The game was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Childers, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Despite the loss, Bloomingdale still got an impressive performance from Caleb McClung, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds. McClung continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Dorian Reese was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Even though they lost, Bloomingdale were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Expression Prep Academy only racked up 17 assists.
Expression Prep Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Bloomingdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Expression Prep Academy will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Mountain Mission at 2:00 p.m. on January 13th. As for Bloomingdale, they will face off against Tolsia at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tolsia is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
