The Faith Baptist School Falcons waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins but they left with six. They came out on top against Salisbury Christian by a score of 62-53. Given Faith Baptist School's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the are ranked 302nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Faith Baptist School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Miller, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Zach Miller, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Faith Baptist School pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Salisbury Christian, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Baptist School won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Minutemen at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Concord Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Friday. As for Salisbury Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
