There's no place like home for the Westview Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 50-38 win over Aloha on Friday. The squad ran away with 39 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Leading Westview to victory were Dara Oluwafemi and Kaleah Medeiros. Oluwafemi scored 14 points along with five steals, while Medeiros scored 19 points along with seven steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Elms, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
The victory got Westview back to even at 10-10. As for Aloha, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-19.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westview will take on Sunset at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Oregon (Westview is ranked 96th, while Sunset is ranked 73rd). As for Aloha, they will be playing at home against Beaverton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Aloha will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Beaverton is ranked 44th).
